Alvin Goans, age 73, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. He was a carpet Installation Contractor for many years. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Preceded in death by parents, James and Katherine Goans; grandson, Christopher Pack; former wife, Sandra Kitts; sister, Tina Johnson; brother, James Goans, Jr; former son-in-law, Jesse Pack. Survived by daughter, Kathy Pack; son, Michael Ray Goans; granddaughters, Serena Pack, Michelle Goans, Shelby Kitts, and Laney Rush; great-grandsons, Preston Nolan, Mason Holloway; great-granddaughter, Kylie Elberson and Journey Goans ; brothers, Sam Goans and Steve Goans; sisters, Gloria Vanvalkenburg, Donna Carmichael, and Judy Buckner; and loving cousin and best friend, Wesley Harden. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 pm Sunday with the funeral service to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. Interment will 11 am Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery.
