Alice Rachel Scriven Bivens, age 84 of Knoxville, born February 5, 1936 in Middlesbrough Kentucky, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 20, 2020. She was married for 57 years to Allen Henry Bivens before he passed away in 2009. Alice was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church and especially enjoyed her Sunday School class friends. She was a dedicated nurse who worked in numerous health care settings, including intensive care, home health care, and skilled nursing care over the course of more than 30 years in the profession. She loved her family and her church and her favorite thing to do was taking care of her home. Alice was a long time member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Scriven and Ann Beason Scriven; husband, Allen Bivens; sister, Wilma McCoig; son, Ricky Bivens; grandson, Jeramy Clevenger and granddaughter Rachel Cox. She is survived by her three children, Beth (Gordon) Hughes, Pam (Bill) Clevenger, Amy (Sam) Evans, her six grandchildren, Justin Barnhill, Kari Garcia, Lynsey Flatford, Brandi Sharp, Travis Clevenger, and Samantha Evans, her great grandchildren, Charlie Larimore, Krislyn Barnhill, Briggs Barnhill, Bailey Cabe, Kaitlyn Cabe, Avery Flatford, Rhett Flatford, Waylon Cox, one great great granddaughter, Adalynn Larimore, brother, Gary Sciven, three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. The Graveside Services will be conducted for the family, only, by Rev. Kent Williams, Wednesday 3:00 p.m. at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee, 37919.
