We were friends briefly in school. You were short and adorable. Your smile could have lit up any room. Today i had a memory of us kicking it up in class having a good time. Im not sure why we ever lost touch. My heart aches knowing my search for you ended in finding an obituary. You were cared for by many. May we meet again my friend.

I’ll never forget the first time we met. You looked at me with apprehensive eyes. Flash forward almost 9 years and
I’ll never forget the last time you looked at me, with loving eyes this time. It was an honor to earn your trust and call you son. We had so many good times together and you taught us all so much. 
Thank you so much for being the amazing big brother you were to your little sisters.

To all of Alex's family,  I never met Alex, but his dad and mom were around for years when they were younger and I remember how proud they both were of Alex when he was born.  Alex, you will remain in their hearts the rest of their lives, relax and enjoy the "life" you now have looking down on all your loved ones that miss you more than they can ever express.

Alex, I only met you briefly...but I will not forget you. (My sons are your same age.) You just touched my heart. I am sorry you went through so much. I had already taken the elevator downstairs last Fri to go home and I said, "No. I have to go back up and just check on him." So I went back up and went to see you. I saw in your eyes when you looked up at mine how weary you were. I cried all the way to the car for you. I asked God to just help you, to hold you. I believe He did and He is. Look for my boy, Isaac. Tell him I love him. I hope you are doing all the things your body wouldn't let you here on earth!
And to you, Miranda, and his Dad (I'm sorry I never had the chance to meet you--I asked Alex if you all were still there at the hospital Friday and he said, you had been earlier, but had gone home.) your son mattered. He seemed very very nice. I know you are so hurt in his loss. Please know that he isn't forgotten, even by those of us who barely knew him.

I miss you so much Alex. You were the greatest son a father could have. You will forever be in my heart and on my mind. We will see each other again some day so save me a seat for the movie and dont eat all the popcorn without me.

Alex, my precious grandson, I've loved you all of your life, and will love and miss you all the rest of mine.  I know that we will be together again, when Heavenly Father calls me home too.  For now, get to know my parents who never got to see you here.  They, and other family members there, will make you feel welcome and even more loved.
