Hill, Aileen Brown, age 80, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church for 55 years and a member of the choir for many years. Aileen was raised in Washington County in the Philadelphia community and a member of the Philadelphia Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Washington College High School and from East Tennessee State with a B.S. degree in business education. Aileen was a business education teacher for 30 years at Sullivan High School in Kingsport, Bearden High School, Holston High School, and Central High School in Knoxville. Preceded in death by parents, Ross Brown and Fornie Copp Brown.
She is survived by husband of 57 years, James L. (Jim) Hill; her beloved son, George Hill, who was the light of her life; sister, Wanda Dye of Knoxville; brother, Bill Brown and wife Dr. Carolyn of Chuckey, TN, and niece Dr. Sherri Brown of Louisville, KY.
The family will receive friends at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel from 6 – 8pm Friday. Graveside service will be at Lynnhurst Cemetery on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10:30 am with Dr. Sean White officiating.
