Winifred Mabel Rees

With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Winnie Rees, surrounded with love on Thursday December 29th, 2016 at Lanark Heights Long Term Care Centre in her 87th year. Wife of the late Frank (April 9, 1986), Winnie will be missed by her children; Harrison (Patricia), Frank (Joanna), Grant (Sylvia), Colin (Cheryl) Stephanie Kaitting, Leslie Rees (Daniel Leduc), and Edith Rees. She leaves precious memories with her 28 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her children Darrell (July 26,1960) and Boyd (November 15, 2013), her loving companionCecil Kessilring (December 29, 2007), her daughter-in-law Dianne Rees and by four brothers and one sister. Cherished mother-in-law to Judy Rees (Boyd), Winnie will be lovingly remembered by Gail Schneider (Ross). Family and friends will gather at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 23 Water St N, Kitchener on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau. As expressions of sympathy donations are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Society.
