Vivian was born 89 years ago, and throughout her life, she was a beacon of love, grace, and resilience. As a devoted mother, she leaves behind her children: David (Mary Jane) of Sioux City, Iowa, Peter (Tracey) of Kitchener, Renate of Kitchener (Phil Wootten of Toronto), and Gary (Krista) of Kitchener. Her deep love for her family extended to her grandchildren: David Jr. (Amanda) of Omaha, Nebraska, Jeremiah of Sioux City, Iowa, Patrick (Chrissy) of Sioux City, Iowa, Donna of Kitchener, Stephanie (Chris) of Stratford, Luke of Kitchener, Brody (who is studying to become a lawyer in England), and Charles Doyon of Trenton. She also found immeasurable joy in her cherished great-grandchildren: Greysen Jacob and Persephone "Percy" Amelia.
Vivian was proud of her accomplishments, particularly earning her Diploma from Sarles Business College. She went on to serve as a dedicated Secretary at Queens University, where she worked with purpose and commitment. But more than her professional achievements, it was her devotion to her faith and her love for people that defined her life. Vivian was known for never complaining, always approaching every situation with grace and positivity.
For the last 9 years, Vivian was a beloved resident at Saint Luke's Place, where she became a treasured member of the community. Her infectious smile and kind nature were a comfort to all. She was especially known for her love of Bingo—so much so that the staff would have to wait until the last possible moment to announce the start time to avoid her anxiety.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the Lower A PSWs, Nurses, and Dr. Baker at Saint Luke's Place for the exceptional care, love, and compassion they showed to Vivian during her time there. Your kindness meant the world to her and to our family, and we are deeply grateful for all you did.
Vivian’s life was a testament to kindness, faith, and a steadfast love for her family and those around her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and fondness.
Family will receive guests at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St., S., Kitchener, for visitation on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be said the following day at the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial to take place at Memory Gardens.
