Stella Martha Newell Musclow

MUSCLOW, Stella Martha (nee Newell) – Born in South Side, Cape Sable Island, Nova Scotia. Stella passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Hospice Wellington in Guelph, Ontario, on July 30, 2013 after a brief illness in her 83rd year. Beloved wife and best friend of William “Bill” Musclow for 61 years. Loving and devoted mother of Robert Musclow and his wife Denise and proud Grandma to their daughter, Tayler. Dear sister of Betty, Marietta and Glenna all in Nova Scotia, and Marjorie of Kitchener. Stella is fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother, Cecil and parents, Wilfred and Maria Newell.

Stella’s family will receive friends at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, (519)745-9495 on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A service celebrating her life will take place in the funeral home chapel on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock with

Fr. Stephen Crowley officiating. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Reception to be held at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre.

The Musclow family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care team at GRRCC, and CCAC, the nurses and staff of the Red Cross Care Partners, Dr. Donna Ward and the staff at Waterloo Hospice, and to the doctors, nurses and staff at Hospice Wellington for the comfort, support and friendship provided during Stella’s final days.
