It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Shirley on January 25, 2015 at the age of 89. Devoted wife of the late Andrew Bernard (Bernie); beloved mother of Peggy (Jeff) Lesonsky, and Judy (the late Doug) Wolfe; Treasured grandmother to Jill, Lisa, Drew, Andrew, Jennifer, and Jim and great grandchildren Emma, Jack, Ryan, Madison, Kieran, Alexandria and Noelle; daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice MacAulay; Sister of Jean McRea and predeceased by her siblings Ellen Martin, Gladys Walsh, Grace Miller, Ivan MacAulay, Don MacAulay, Eric MacAulay, and Marjorie Morrison. Special thanks to the staff at Sunnyside Home, Cider Mills Wing, for their extraordinary and compassionate care. Visitation will be at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, ON N2G 1C7 on Wednesday January 28, 2105 from 10am. - 12 pm. with Funeral Service at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada by contacting the funeral home. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery.
