Predeceased by her husband John (1996). Loving mom to Gary, Brenda (Jack) Bolle, Wayne (Tammy), Karen (Ken) Thompson, Debbie (Marc) Lemelin, and Pam (Kenny) McLellan. Forever loved grandma to Christopher Blundon (Amy), Bill (Roslyn) Thomas, Jackie (Mike) Step, Jason (Kristyn) Pike, Brooke (Kevin) Hazley, Kyle Bisch (Brittany), Stephanie (Jonny) Rasulbaksh, Derek Bisch (Crystal), Lisa McLellan, Eric Thompson and Grace McLellan. Cherished great grandma to Kaelyn, Kyson, Liam, Avery, Nora, Myla, Taliya, Jasmine and Misha. Ruth will also be missed by her brother Frank (Dolores) Steffler and sisters Carol Buchanan and Dolores Speilmacher.
Ruth grew up in St. Agatha. Even though she was born in the country she was a city girl at heart, always loved being part of the crowd. After raising her six children she decided to head back to school and became a Personal Support Worker, working until they told her she couldn’t. Besides the great loved she had for her family, Ruth also enjoyed all types of music- you would always find her with the tunes turned up high-, Bingo, crossword puzzles and feeding the squirrels. Ruth touch the hearts of all those she came in contact with and for that she will be greatly missed.
Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa Street South, Kitchener, for visitation starting at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial Service at 11 a.m. Inurnment to take place at Parkview Cemetery at a later date.
