Mr. Peter Warzecha

Entered into rest on Friday, March 26, 2010 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 88. Loving husband of the late Mary MacKenzie (1990). Sadly missed by children Elizabeth Irwin and her husband John of Sundridge, Dan and his wife Mary of new Brunswick, and Lee and his companion Barb of Calgary. Cherished grandfather to Christopher Bain and his wife Rhonda of Stouffville, Sandy Bain and his wife Jodi of Ottawa, Adrian Bain and his companion Kathryn of Aurora, Cpl. John Matthew Irwin of Alberta, Amy Irwin and her husband Chris Hajdu of Bowmanville, Kate Campbell of Bowmanville, and Janet Warzecha of New Brunswick. Caring great-grandfather to Chloe, William, Dylan, Jack, and Abbie. Lovingly remembered by siblings Julie Nakluski, Walter, Matha Slater, and Joe and his wife Marilyn.

Peter was a veteran from WWII and was a member of Essex Scottish and Kent. He was a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He worked for Kaufman Rubber for 25 years and was a Canada Post letter carrier for 25 years. He was a most loyal fan of the Toronto Blue jays. Mr. Warzecha was an avid bird and nature lover and will be sadly missed by all the birds and furry creatures. He thoroughly enjoyed his family reunions and his second home at Cheer Lake. He had very fond memories of his travels to New Brunswick and Alberta over the years.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home & Chapel (51 Benton St. at Church St., Kitchener, 519-742-4481) on Monday, March 29, 2010 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to follow on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
