As my childhood great friend, Leslie gave the ultimate gift of introducing me to Ron, who was  Max’s UofG roommate. The four of us made many awesome memories together as young couples and were in each other’s wedding parties. Ron and I are still together after 52 years. Thank you Leslie🙏
I also had many trips with the Thomas family to the family farm and remember that Edna would pass out Laura Secord lollipops when we got to hwy 400. 
We spent many hours together as members of the NTCI concert band, marching band and orchestra. 
Leslie lived her life fully and with courage. You will live on in your sons and grandchildren and all those lucky enough to have known you. You earned your peaceful end my friend. With love to those you have left behind. Ron and Gail Pearson

Never one to shy away from good family fun this picture of my Aunt Leslie with my Mum and niece says it all. From bridesmaids dresses to bras, baby blankets and Halloween costumes for my kids, my Aunt helped with it all. She encouraged me to travel and be independent when I was fresh out of Uni. and was there to lend support whenever I reached out. We shared a love for the "farm", dogs and making beautiful things with our hands. 
Your smile and bright light will be missed.

Leslie and I met 60 years ago when I started to date her big brother Barry and spend weekends with the family.    She was the little sister, still in early high school.  I remember her beautiful touch on the piano, and often the  recorder. I was teaching grade 6 music at that time, and Leslie would sit at the piano and patiently go over and over the tricky timing in one part of the vocals and piano entry.   She kept saying,  "Can you hear it?" I never did quite get it, but she did.  One year I packed up a mauve gown with a puffy skirt and brought it with me for  her to wear to a formal.  It required its own suitcase.  She looked lovely.  'Ask Leslie,' was the response my kids got whenever a sewing or cooking problem developed.  She was the acknowledged expert on all things domestic.

  She gave good advice when asked and took most stuff in her stride without getting too fussed about it.  I never heard her being mean about anyone.  I will miss her as a friend and miss her as a sister.  Our family will miss her as a sister, an aunt and a helping hand.

My sincerest condolences on your loss. Although I spent only a few hours with her, I know that Leslie was a super lady who loved her family dearly. It was always a pleasure to talk to her as she never failed to surprise with a tale of adventure or a project. So many good memories!

We was so surprised to learn of your mother's passing.  Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.  May all of the great memories that you have shared be front and centre as you remember your mom's many accomplishments.


I thought I’d share with everyone the last message I sent to Leslie since it captures really what she means to me. 
Dear Leslie,
We have a quilt that you made in a basket next to the couch. Every night we sit in our family room, when someone asks for a blanket, we say “can you pass me the Leslie blanket?”
When Chris is looking for his favourite long-sleeved shirt he says, “have you seen my Leslie shirt?”; referring to the one you embroidered with his company logo.
When I’m up for work on a cold winter’s day, the first thing I reach for on the back of my chair is a cardigan you made Gramma (Edna).
And every time I pull out my sewing machine to pretend I know what I’m doing, I think of the times you helped me make dresses for my girls, by explaining how to read a pattern and how to properly thread my machine.
Leslie, you are woven into the fabric of our family and I am grateful for your patience and wisdom, and most of all your presence in our lives.
