With great sadness the family announces the death of Kathleen Simon at St. Mary’s Hospital on Saturday July 7th, 2012 in her 95th year. Predeceased by her loving husband John Simon, much loved mother of David (Sonja) Simon of Conestogo and the late Christine Croth. Kathleen leaves cherished memories with her grandchildren Nancy Simon of Chatham, Susan Simon-Daniels of Kitchener, Peggy Simon of Boston, Robert Croth of Perth, Shelley Croth of Waterloo, J.D. Croth of Baden, Kate Simon of Conestogo and nine great grandchildren. Survived by her sister-in-law Helen Hurley of Kitchener; beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Kathleen is predeceased by her parents Theodore and Emma Hoerle (nee Gerth), her sister Almeda Willis and her brothers Milt and Harold Hoerle. She leaves behind a life and legacy that touched all that loved her. She was outstandingly practical and sensible; loyal, loving and wise; fiercely intelligent and intuitive. She passed on a deeply positive influence to the lives of all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and loved ones. She is irreplaceable and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The Simon Family will receive friends at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., 519-745-9495 on Saturday August 11th, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Service to celebrate the life of Kathleen Simon will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. with fellowship and refreshments to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. Private interment of cremated remains will be at Woodland Cemetery.
