Joseph Schuster

Passed away at Lisaard House on May 2, 2012 at the age of 89. Joseph was born in Yugoslavia and immigrated to Canada in 1956. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Eva, his children Helmut & wife Carmen (Waterloo), Joseph & wife Cathy (Kitchener), Gerhard & wife Shelly (Calgary), Eva Marcone & husband Renzo (Kincardine), his grandchildren Morena (deceased), Christina, Frank, Jo-Anne, Vincent, Lise, Martin, Joseph, Katie, Jennifer, Kristen and 13 great grandchildren. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Joseph & Marianna, his brother Martin & by his sister Magdalena. He was a member of the Schwaben Club, a fisherman, and an award winning gardener. He was also an avid wood carver and his grandchildren and great grandchildren still enjoy the many creations he made for them. At Joseph’s request, a private family service was held with Interment at Woodland Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Cardiac Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital or Lisaard House would be appreciated.
