He died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. John will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Donna of 54 years, his children Lisa (Leslie), Laura (Jean), Heather (Joe) and his 5 grandsons Joshua (Steph), Nathan (Rebecca), Kyler, Michael and Matthew. Dear brother of Paul (Pam), Peter (Margie) and brother-in-law of John and Jack. Predeceased by his parents Alex and Margaret, sisters Theresa, Ann and Mary, his brother-in-law Rick and godson Kerry. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
John loved farming, snowmobiling and camping. He dedicated 33 years to Budd Canada working in Quality Assurance while farming 150 acres with his wife and three daughters. During his retirement, he worked 10 years at Home Hardware on the market set up committee. In his spare time, he travelled with his wife and friends, creating many wonderful memories.
Visitation will be held at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre at 1001 Ottawa St S Kitchener on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 1-4pm. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clements Roman Catholic Church on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11am on 3619 Lobsinger Line, St. Clements, followed by a luncheon at the St. Clements Community Centre. At the family’s request, please wear a mask at the visitation.
