Passed away at London Health Sciences Centre – University Hospital, London, on Friday, August 3, 2018, at the age of 70 years.

Beloved wife of Jim Altman. Dear mother of Steve Altman (Lisa), Tracy Altman-Chauvin (Kevin), and Jamie Altman (Jeff). Loved grandmother of Jessica Stack (Tim), Mitchell Altman, Austin Altman (Summer Lynn), Dylon Chauvin (Ashlee), Brandon Chauvin (Sara), Ryan Altman, and Kyle Altman (Emilie), and great grandmother of Owen Stack, Arabella Chauvin, and Ariel Altman. Dear sister of Connie Foerster (Steve) and Bill Bester (Phyllis). Predeceased by her parents Edward and Evelyn Bester. Cremation has taken place. Joan’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Friday, August 10, 2018, from 2:00 – 2:45 pm, where the memorial service will be held in the chapel at 3:00 pm, with Brianne Jourdin officiating.
