Hilda Martha Love

Love: Hilda M. Peacefully after a long and wonderful life, Hilda Martha Love (Kelland) passed away at her residence, Winston Park Long Term Care, Kitchener, On., on Monday, August 18th, 2014, in her 97th year.

Mom was born in Barrie, On., on August 25th, 1917. She was married to our father, Philip Fraser Love for 67 years.

Mom was predeceased by her husband, Philip (2008), her parents, Edwin and Martha Kelland (Durbin), 3 brothers, Arthur in infancy, Fred and Maurice.

Mom is survived by her daughters Eleanor Williams (Lloyd) of Chilliwack, B.C. and Wendy Meyer (Don) of Kitchener, 6 grandchildren, Greg Williams (Jen), Deanna Clarke (Rob), Andrea Moyes Brandon), Rob Meyer (Ashley), Jay and Chris Meyer. She is survived by 6 great grandchildren, Matthew Clarke, Sarah and Ainsley Williams, Xavier and Ayla Moyes and Bryson Meyer.

As per mom’s wishes there will be no service but a gathering for close friends and family is planned. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Schlegel Villages Charitable Foundation or Grand River Hospital is appreciated through the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 745-9495.

We wish to thank the wonderful nursing staff on the 6th floor of GRH, Red Cross, the extraordinary staff of Memory Care and Long Term Care Floors at Winston Park and Carmen for looking after our mom. Thank you so very much
