DESSLER, Harvey L. – The big bus has left the depot with the big guy in the drivers seat…. Ho Ho Home to be with his heavenly Lord where the love of his was waiting for him. Although he will be missed, his family and friends have many treasured memories. Harvey Dessler of Kitchener died June 4, 2015 after a brief illness. Predeceased by his cherished wife, Sandra in October 2008; survived by his children Brian and wife Edith of Pembroke, Keith and his wife Wendy of Comox, BC, Joyce and her husband Ken Drummond, Jeanne and her husband Gary Vaughn of Kitchener, David of Ottawa, Tony and his wife Debbie, Marty Wilkinson and his wife Tracie, Kim and her husband Russ Schaefer, Wanda and her husband Gary Winterhalt, Joy and her husband Richard Clutterbuck all of Kitchener; brother to Howard and his wife Louise of Kitchener and Glen and his wife Carol of Calgary. Adored by 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Emerson and Grace as well as brother Alvin. Harvey drove for Kitchener Transit for 30 years as well as being a long term employee of Great Canadian. He was also a faithful member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King Street West, 519-745-9495 on Tuesday, June 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. At Harvey’s request, a private family service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church at a later date.
