Hadi was a devoted father to Hiva (Kim), Babak, and Hana (Harper), and a proud grandfather to Nima, Jordan, and Jesse. He will be lovingly remembered by his dear friend and the mother of his children Sara, his brother Mehdi (Farideh), and many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
An author, a man of intellect, gentle soul and quiet strength, Hadi lived life on his own terms — with an open heart, a great sense of humor and often, a hammer in hand. He was always imagining, always creating, and always a big advocate for humanity. Nature was his sanctuary, where he found peace and inspiration among the mountains, trees and birds he so loved, that reminded him of his motherland, Kurdistan.
Hadi’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched — in the laughter of his grandchildren, in the wisdom he passed on to his children, and in the beauty of the simple things he cherished. He was a free spirit, a maker, a thinker, and a soul who found joy in the everyday.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
