

Glen was born in Peterborough, ON to Donald and Elizabeth Hopkins, youngest brother to Dave and Mike (Donna and family). He met the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Karen (Moore) in 1981 and they later wed in Peterborough on February 15th, 1986. They spent 9 years living in Hamilton where Glen worked at Westinghouse, later moving with their children, Samantha (Andres) and Ryan (Michelle Lesley), to Kitchener, ON where he became president of TECO Westinghouse Motors (Canada) Inc. He was a proud ‘Gramps’ to his granddaughter, Ophelia, and loved to cook and entertain for all of his loved ones. Glen’s wife, children, children’s partners and granddaughter were the light of his life.
Glen was loved and cherished by all that knew him. He had a profound impact on Karen’s family, and will be greatly missed by Karen’s parents, Vince and Sylvia, and her siblings Christina (Joel and family), Michele (Mike and family), Brett (Joan and family) and Vince (Karen and family). He will also be missed dearly by his friends and co-workers. Glen was one of a kind and loved by all.
Cremation has taken place with a celebration of life to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
