Floyd was born, the youngest child, to Seranus and Blendina Martin of Floradale. He had nine brothers & sisters; Lena, Elmer, Ida, Naomi, Willard, Valina, Lucinda, Viola and Carl "Bush" Bushert (all predeceased)
Butch -- as he was known to all; married Ethleen "Pee Wee" Gerber (predeceased) on June 23, 1951 and they had one daughter, Kelly Marie (Cliff) Martin. Butch was the Proud Poppa to his twin grandchildren, who he raised like his own, Paul (Rebecca) and Kristie Martin. Great-Poppa to Annabelle, Myles, Leviathan, and Madison. Butch leaves behind Connie Klassen (wife), as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, golf buddies and teammates.
Whether you played golf, hockey, baseball or he sold you your first new car; Butch did it with passion & integrity. His morals and values were a steady constant, which guided him throughout his life.
Special thanks to the staff at Sunnyside -- Cider Mill and those at Victoria Place. You both created a happy and peaceful place for Dad to spend his final years and for that we are truly grateful.
Now we ask you to please join The Martin Family in a celebration of a life well lived. Butch's family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 5 - 8 p.m., where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.
