Fern Ellen Emslie

Emslie, Fern (Steppler) – passed away peacefully at Trinity Village Care Centre on December 24, 2019 at the age of 88. Fern is survived by her loving husband Jim Emslie of 67 years. Lovingly remembered by her children Steve Emslie and wife Danielle, Jim Emslie and wife Wonita and Cindy Goodyear and husband Bernie. Predeceased by her son Michael Emslie. Grandma to Alex Emslie, Nick Emslie, Ben Goodyear and wife Stephanie, Kenny Goodyear and fiancé Helvi, James Emslie and Reaghanne Emslie. Great grandma to Charles Goodyear. Fern is survived by her sister Betty-Anne Luft and husband Dave, sisters-in-law; Pat Emslie and Emily Emslie and daughter-in-law Jackie. Predeceased by her parents Pete and Sadie Steppler, brother Jimmy Steppler, sister Joyce Nagle and brothers-in-law John Emslie, Ken Emslie and Mal Emslie and wife Audrey Emslie. A special thank you to Dr. Shamon and nurse Natalie and the entire team at Trinity Village Care Centre for their outstanding care and compassion. Visitation will take place at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. Kitchener on Thursday, January 2 from 6-9 pm with a Memorial Service on Friday, January 3 at 11:00 am.
