Eugene Gene Gauthier

Passed away peacefully at Trinity Village Care Centre on Sunday, January 8, 2012.

Gene was in his 90th year and was born in Kitchener. He served in WWII and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 50, and a member of the Kitchener Knights of Columbus, Council 1504.

Beloved husband of Mary (nee McDonnell). Loving father of Paula Gauthier and Mark Gauthier both of Kitchener.

Dear grandfather of James, Natalie Obermeyer and Noelle, Katie, and Luke Gauthier and great-grandpa to Colton Kennedy.

Brother of Rita McPherson of Kitchener and brother-in-law of Teresa Schmidt and Pat McDonnell.

Predeceased by his parents George and Elsie, a brother Sidney, and sisters Nin, Marguerite, Claire, Dee and Rose Marie.

Mr. Gauthier’s family will receive friends and relatives at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home , 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (Knights of Columbus Prayer Service 6:30 p.m.; Prayer Vigil 8:45 p.m.).

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Aloysius R.C. Church , 11 Traynor Avenue, Kitchener on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Kuzma as celebrant.

Interment, Woodland Cemetery.
