Eileen Margaret Cox

Eileen was predeceased by her beloved husband of 48 years, Victor, on January 20, 2002. Eileen was the gentle mother of Gail (Alan Moir), Susan (Thomas Tisdale), Vicky (Rick Frank), Jane (Peter Mattson). Eileen enjoyed every moment with her 8 grandchildren, Michael (Audrey), Owen, Mackenzie (Cassandra), Olivia (Eric), Nicholas, Jacklyn, Rachel (Sebastian) and Dylan (Casey). With a special title of GG, she loved 8 great grandchildren, Cohen, Oliver, Ivy, Callum, Teddy, Alexander, Oaklee and Avery. Predeceased by her parents, Louis and Caroline (Meyer), and her sisters and brothers - Rose (Chris), Loretta (Jim), Bert (Ida), Joe (Daisy), Len (Madeline), Clara (Ralph), Edna (Al), Freida (Bill), Bernice (Cyril), Esther (Joe) and Sister Louisita. Eileen had expert level skills as a seamstress and all things related to sewing, which she joyously did throughout her life. She tirelessly supported the Blue Jays and the Maple Leafs and happily critiqued the games with her grandsons. Eileen was a faithful and devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church and was president and long-time member of the CWL.

Eileen’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. (Prayers at 6:30). A funeral service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 49 Blueridge Ave., Kitchener on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eileen can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
