Donald Milburn Gardner

The family of Donald M. Gardner are sad to announce his sudden passing on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of Mary Lou Gardner (nee Pauli). Dear father of Pamela Gardner McConnell and Christopher Gardner (Jeanetta). Cherished grandfather of Chad Ludwig (Natalia), Adam and Ryan McConnell, and James Gardner, and great grandfather of Abigail and Jacob Ludwig. Loved brother of Doug Gardner (Lesley). Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Edmund and Gertrude Gardner and his brother Robert Gardner. Don was a teacher for 35 years, first in Windsor and then with the Waterloo Board at Doon Public School and N.A. MacEachern School. After retirement, Don enjoyed working as a starter at the Westmount Golf and Country Club for 19 years. Cremation has taken place. Don’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 6 – 9 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 10:00 – 10:45 am, where the memorial service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 am, with Pastor Scott Schellenberger officiating.
