David will be missed by family, friends, and acquaintances. He shared 38 wonderful years of marriage with his cherished wife and friend Tina (nee Jodoin) and together they raised three beautiful children; Ryan, Laura and Alyssa. David was also especially beloved by his siblings; Sue (Phil Allen), Peter (Nancy) and Janet (Phil Bauer), sister-in-law Kim Chalmers (Greg) and brother-in-law Ken Jodoin (Marie).
He enjoyed being an uncle to and will be missed by his nieces and nephews; Adam, Nicole (Derek Uttley), Jason, Monica (Chris Young), Alexandra (Jon Hey), Lisa (Ashton Hauser), Ben, Nick, Lily as well as his grandnieces and grandnephews; Autumn, Owen, Noah, Ella, Leia and Mason. David is predeceased by his father Nick (2012) and his mother Amy (2023), both of whom he loved dearly.
David was known for his unwavering loyalty to family, strong work ethic and friendly demeanor. He had a willingness to push boundaries and an appetite for all life had to offer. He loving biking, camping, kayaking and riding motorcycles, especially if there was an element of risk! He could often be found on the Bruce Trail with family and friends and was an advocate for the Hydrocut Mountain Bike Trail System. In addition, he travelled far and wide; all the way from the Scottish Highlands with his family to his own backyard, which he cultivated with and for his wife Tina. Not only did he live each day to the fullest, but he looked forward to so many more adventures ahead. Those who loved David know that he would want everyone to appreciate all that they have while they have it.
Family and Friends may visit Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S. on Monday, April 14th from 6:00 – 9:00 pm for a celebration of David’s life. In his honour, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
