Loving husband of Bonnie for 54 years. Dearest dad to Debra (Paul) and Susan. Beloved papa to Alec, Julia, Sarah and Ella. Brother to Donna (Ron) and brother-in-law to Jayne (Gord). Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Edna Koepke, his brother Bruce and sister Karen.
Brian began his career with the City of Waterloo Police Department in 1970 and after 31 years of service, retired as Superintendent with the Region of Waterloo Police in 2001. Years of retirement were spent well, starting with moving out of Waterloo region and up north to Edmore Beach for 13 years. From there, he and Bonnie enjoyed their time together with many, many trips to Cuba, golfing, and various different cruises. Brian also enjoyed spending his time working at various 911 charities, Habitat for Humanity and many other community events that kept him active and involved. He enjoyed carpentry and building various things and was somewhat of a perfectionist, whether it be backyard sheds or garden gazebos. During idle time, he spent hours walking around the city he grew up in once Bonnie and he returned to the area.
