She slipped away peacefully, after a day surrounded by her family, at Luther Village on Wednesday April 23, 2014 in her 89th year. Loved and cherished wife of Mel, who has been waiting to rejoin her for almost 10 years. Beloved mother of Kathy Sharpe (Paul Calamai). Survived by her grandchildren Jenna and Lauren Sharpe and by her sister Theresa. At the Family’s request cremation has taken place. Betty’s Family will receive friends at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. S., on Saturday, April 26th, from 2-4 p.m. to celebrate her life in story. Refreshments will be served. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation are greatly appreciated.
