A true friend and someone I considered to be like a brother. You were the kindest and most considerate person I have ever had the honor of knowing. You will always be kept close to our hearts and never forgotten.

Throughout the years we spent in school together, as well as the years that came after, you were always there for both me and Talya. We could always count on you, whether to save us at the last minute during our multiple moves or just to hang out and talk.

Your humor and your stories always had the unique ability to draw the attention of the whole room. Half of which had a cocked eyebrow in disbelief and the other half struggling to catch their breath from deep laughter. In the few months you lived with us, you managed to befriend the entire neighborhood better than we have in years. 

I’ll always remember the time you helped our dog Rambo befriend the neighborhood skunk (and catch it on film),the pictures you’d send us of the wildlife up North, the many fishing stores you would tell, and your love of holding strange insects close to people’s faces.  

Our deepest sympathies go out to the entire Virag family. We’ll always cherish the times you welcomed us and our family to your home for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, graduation parties and summer barbecues. Our thoughts are with you.

Alex, the greatest story teller I have ever met!
There was never a dull moment when Alex was around, we would all be hanging on to his every word and crying with laughter at the end of his stories. 
Such a sweet, kind hearted, gentle soul. 
The summer camping trips will not be the same without Alex, his smile, his great big hugs, the adventures, the laughs and those stories.

Alex was my best friend growing up.  We shared so many wonderful experiences together, and some, while not funny at the time, are things I can look back on and laugh at now.  During one of our annual fishing trips, we ended up wrestling down a sand dune and had to clean off in frigid Lake Erie.  I will never stop missing you, but I am grateful to have a lot of funny and fun times to think back on.

Alex Obituary

Words cannot express the feeling of loss my immediate family, and my beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces feel, with the passing of Alex. He was my brother from another mother, a kindred spirit and soul, and we are forever left broken by his passing.

Alex, you were one of my favorite people ever since I was a little kid. I'm thankful that the last thing I ever said to you was "I love you."  I hope you believed me.
