Alex Sylvester Schoen

SCHOEN, Alex - It is with sadness that his family announces Alex’s passing on March 1, 2011, his 86th birthday, peacefully at home. He joins his beloved wife , Teresa (nee Cormier), who predeceased him in 1997. Son of the late Charles and Marion (nee Strub) Schoen. Cherished father of John Schoen (Paula)of Lucknow, ON and special friend to Amber Bakker. Proud grandfather of Craig and Sebrina Schoen, Amanda Cast and Bridget and Lindsey Kessler. Great grandfather of 4 great grandchildren. Alex is missed by his nephew Gerald (Fran) Schoen and his dear and loyal friend Boots. Uncle of Tracy Schoen, Chris (Nicole) Schoen and Chad Schoen (Ashleigh) and remembered by their families. Alex is predeceased by his brother Anthony Schoen and sisters Mary White and Frieda Schoen.

Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, on Friday, March 4, 2011 from 2-4 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Trinity United Church, 74 Frederick St., at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
