Al, you will be dearly missed, an irreplaceable member of the Mavericks, and a great friend to many! 

I love how welcoming you and your whole family was/is to us being the relative newcomers to the group. Pre & Post-game talks were always engaging, enlightening & captivating.

Your positivity was always prevalent, even at rough times. We could always count on your smile!

Deepest thoughts and condolences from our family to yours.

Alan was always the steady one in our projects group JADE (Jeff, Alan, David, Ed) from university days.  No matter the challenge, he was the most persistent when the rest of us started to waiver.  I think this is consistent with how he lives his life.  Always steadfast, and dependable.   That's not to say he's not fun to be around.  Good natured, but clever quips.  Its no surprise that he has such great family and kids.  Although Tammy probably had a larger role and more to say here, but I digress.  Although your time with us has been cut short, it will live on in our hearts and memories.  

Alan, thank you for being my friend.  I am going to miss lacing them up with you every Saturday and stepping on a clean sheet of ice.  I will miss our chats after the game.  I will miss raising a tall cold glass with you.  I will miss your infectious smile, and I will miss you my friend.   You were a man of immeasurable strength, always with a positive outlook no matter the journey in front of you.  Love you Al.  Rest easy my friend.

Tammy, Nic, Jess, Kaitlyn.  Pam and I send our condolences in this time of loss.  Cherish the memories, find strength in your love for each other, and find strength us.  

Al was the definition of family and living life.  Family to Tammy and to Nic Jess and Kate , and family to everyone else he knew.   Need help with something......Al was there.     With that smile and a helping hand.   Family gatherings with that special yummy  something that Al would make .  
We are all blessed to have had the privilege of him in our lives.   Rest in peace Al.  We love you and miss you forever .

I remember Al fondly as a gracious person that was foremost a devoted husband to Tammy and a wonderful father to his children. He was an all-round athlete; competitive yet not too serious at hockey and a pretty good golfer.  My sons and I were fortunate to have Al in our foursome at the 2017 Craighead Classic.  Al had a youthful/playful side as I recall him in a bouncy castle at a birthday party.   I will miss Al and remember him with great respect.

Susan, I'm sorry to hear about your brother. I'm thinking of you and sending you hugs.

My heart is filled with such sadness in the passing of Alan.  Alan’s mom,  Jady was my cousin from my mother’s side... so that makes Alan my second cousin.  Though we did not live close ( I am from Virginia, USA) , I have had fond memories of little Alan and Susan on the few visits we had in London where they grew up.  I remember even at an early young age,  Alan was gentle, always very kind, and ready to share.  During one visit, my children were very young, Alan was very generous and shared the toys he played with them. I was particularly moved when he voluntarily parted many of his wooden Christmas tree ornaments and gave them to my son who was very intrigued by them. 

In the many postings I read from Alan, I have been inspired by how courageous and positive Alan’s attitude was. He never showed fear or was disgruntled, always lived life with an upbeat demeanor.  I can tell he was a devoted father and loving husband to his family.  Alan was taken away from us way too soon.  No doubt he will be sorely missed by those he left behind, however with many wonderful, happy memories and cherished moments he had shared with to remember.   

Alan is  now at peace, no more pain or tears... he  is in a much better place, reunited with both his parents, David and cousin Jady, whom I have missed very much since they were gone. 

Please accept my heart-felt condolences to Tammy, Nicolas, Jessica, Kaitlyn, and family members. My deepest sympathy to Alan's sister Susan, Michael, and Joshua. I am truly so sorry for your loss.  May God grant you peace, courage and faith, and surround you with an abundance of love and good health.
