Tara O’Day, 48, of Kissimmee, Florida and formally of South Blooming Grove, New York (Worley Heights)passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Tara was born to Thomas and Maureen O’Day in Cornwall, New York. During her youth Tara was a member of the Blooming Grove Girl Scouts-and participated in the Blooming Grove recreation program as a counselor for several years. Tara was a former parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Washingtonville, New York. Tara was a graduate of Washingtonville high school and was a 30 year employee of the Disney company in Orlando, Florida. She was a coach for the Greater Osceola United Youth Soccer league for many years. Survivors include her brother Kevin O’Day of Altamonte Springs Florida, her sister Maureen O’Day of Kissimmee, Florida, her niece (who she helped raise) Maureen Kaitlyn Argueta of Orlando, Florida and nephew-in-law Carlos Argueta and nieces Lily and Violet Argueta and her second sister Mary McAllister Dygert of Middlefield, New York along with aunts Helen Stevenson of Omaha ,Nebraska, MaryAnn Berzinskas of Tavares, Florida, Winifred Redmond of Brentwood, New York, Jeanne Convey of Pearl River, New York and the Kiernan cousins Mary, Cate, Eileen ,Tommy and Larry along with many friends and relatives.
Visitation will be held at the Grissom Funeral Home,803 Emmett Street, Kissimmee, Florida on Friday, May 12 from 3:00pm to 7:00PM. Graveside services will be held on Saturday,
May 19th, 10:00am at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, 2 Father Tierney Circle, Washingtonville, NY.
