Nunky Bob MacLeish - You were the best uncle anyone could ever have and I loved you dearly.  You were a "BIG" presence in my life and I will miss you so much.  Thank you for all the wonderful childhood memories especially the trips to Herb's Drive Thru, the fabulous Fourth of July fireworks shows in your driveway, Smithy the dog, the many night time trips to Lake Eola to see the fountain, the beach vacations at New Smyrna Beach with six kids (you were such a sport) the afternoons at the Country Club, and the many fun times we shared at 1829. I will always be grateful for having had you in my life.

Rest in Peace dear friend.  Wish you and Earl could have talked more about your Air Force service in New Guinea and the Philippines, since you both served there.  We won't return to Orlando until October, or we'd be at your service to tell your family how much we enjoyed knowing you.

To the family:  my father, Danny Hinson, was your dad's biggest fan.  My most sincere condolences.  As well as my dad working alongside him at the Sentinel, I did a story for the UCF paper on him and the Cold Night program when I was a young journalism student.  What a wonderful, wonderful man!

To all of Bob's family and friends, I share in your loss of this great and good Christian man.  He was a wonderful friend to me and I will miss his wit, wisdom and kindness.

Laurin and family,  When I ran into you at the salon in College Park after so many years, I so enjoyed catching up on your life. Your loving comments about your dad clearly reflected the love and respect you had for him. How fortunate you were to have him for so many years!  I was so sorry to read of your dad's passing.  His legacy of love and faith will be everlasting for your family and for so many others whose lives he touched. May you take some comfort in knowing he is now held in the loving arms of your mom and his Lord.

Bob, you were such a joy to work with at the newspaper. You always had a twinkle in your eye and were so devoted to your wife. I will never forget the "elephant" slippers you gave me for Christmas many years ago.
