Dick was a great person I worked with him in the travel industry--
will miss his loving smile and great personality

Hi Maureen,
  I don't know if you remember me for it has been a very long time since we have seen each other or spoken.  I worked for Dick many years ago at Eastern and have long wondered how you and your family are doing since, through time and travels, I fell out of contact with Dick.  It was only very recently that I found out about Dick's passing and I am was extremely sad to hear that news.  I always considered Dick a good friend to me, someone who helped me to succeed when no one else would have taken a chance on the street kid that I was.  He didn't owe me anything, yet he took the time to show me many things that I would either have never learned and that still help me to this day.  
You should know that the thousands of funny stories he made possible still live till this day and that many in the travel industry still remember his name fondly.  (And those who don't are still afraid of him so they don't say anything)  
I simply wanted to offer you and your family my family's sincerest condolences, our thoughts and prayers are with you.  In my experience people like Dick never really leave you, their presence and impact always remain, even if physically they aren't with us any longer.  
I will always remember him fondly and with thanks.
