Frederick H. Bierbaum Jr., 83, of Orlando, FL passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012. Born September 29, 1928 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of the late Frederick H. Bierbaum and the late Helen Anna Shore Bierbaum. He was also preceded by his first wife, Geraldine; and his step-grandchild, Jennifer Brown.
A graduate of St. Louis University, Fred served in various capacities with the St. Louis Bank for 18 years organizing two new banks and finance companies. He was also the owner of two businesses, Fred Bierbaum Enterprises, Inc. and Lakeland Communications, Inc. which specialized in building theaters and commercial radio stations. Throughout the years, Fred also owned several radio stations. He was an accomplished musician and avid sportsman.
Moving from Wisconsin to Florida in 1982, Fred continued his success as a business entrepreneur. He became a member of the board of directors with McCoy Federal Credit Union in 2000 and is a former Chairman of the Board. Fred was also a member of the Eola Masonic Lodge #207, the Scottish Rite, the York Rite, and the Bahia Shrine Temple.
Fred was also a man of faith and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kissimmee. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Bierbaum; his sons, Richard Michael Bierbaum (Betty) of St. Clair, MO and Frederick Kenneth Bierbaum (Christine) of St. Cloud, FL; his step-son, Kevin Brown of Jesup, GA; his step-daughter, Teresa Levandoski (Ken) of Birdsboro, PA; 10 grandchildren, Tracy Lynn Copeland (Frank); Frederick Kenneth Bierbaum Jr.; Brandy, Kevin, Jessica, Shelby, Emily, Lance, and Anna Brown; and Karen and Maria Levandoski; 4 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 12 - 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kissimmee.
A celebration of Fred’s life will be on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Schmalzle, Rev. Pete Zieg, and Rev. Rob Cosmas officiating. Interment will be Monday, September 24, 2012 in the Hiram Cemetery in Creve Coeur, MO.
