Ernest E. Cadwell, 88, a resident of Celebration FL for 9 years, prior to that, a resident of Chelmsford MA for 41 years, died on May 13, 2017. He was the husband of the Late Jaqueline (Stepanian) Cadwell.
He was born in New Haven CT on July, 7, 1928, son of the Late Ernest and Ann (Delaney) Cadwell. Mr. Cadwell was educated in the West Haven CT school system. He was also a graduate of the University of Bridgeport, in Bridgeport CT. He received an MBA degree from Northeastern University in Boston MA.
Mr. Cadwell enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1951 during the Korean War. He received a direct commission while on active duty and retired from the Air Force Reserves in 1976 with the rank of Lt. Col.
He was employed a number of years at the United Elastic Corp and Raython Corp. both in Lowell MA. He retired from the Textron Systems Div. in Wilmington MA.
Survivors include his Son, Scott Cadwell and his wife Amy (Owen) of Windermere FL, a son-in-law, Louis Piazza of Kissimmee FL. He was the father of the late Sharon Piazza. He also leaves three grandchildren, Michele Reeder and her husband Scott, Philip Mark Piazza, and Gracie Scheid, a great-granddaughter Tara Shipley, and a great-grandson, Baron Reeder, all of Florida. He is also survived by one sister, Shirley Horn and her husband Robert of Inverness IL, and a brother-in-law Charles Stepanian and his wife Kay of Lowell MA. Several nieces and nephews of both Lowell and Inverness also survive him.
Burial will be in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell FL.
