On Saturday, February 4, 2023, Eva Raiwet, widow of the late Joe Raiwet, Kennedy, SK died at the age of 92 years.
The funeral mass was celebrated in St. Ann's R.C. Church, Kennedy on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Felipe Faustino. A family interment of cremated remains in St. Ann's Parish Cemetery.
Eva was predeceased by her loving husband Joe; her parents Lucien and Anne Jeannot; son-in-law Ken Trafiak; two brothers Lawrence and Edward and one sister Pat.
Eva is survived by her family: Donna Trafiak of Regina, Allan (Marilyn) Raiwet of Regina, Doug (Deb) Raiwet of Grand Prairie, Laurie (Randy) Williamson of Edmonton, Larry (Janet) Raiwet of White City and Dan (Kim) Raiwet of Regina; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers Joe and Andy; one sister Teena and many nieces and nephews.
Eva lived her entire life growing up in Sunnymead and then in the Kennedy community. She was one of the unsung heros to her family and the community as she quietly went on with her business of supporting the love of her life, Joe, her family, the church and community. She showed love and caring in anything she did and was so proud of the life she built, her home in Kennedy and the Raiwet homestead. She always made sure that the family valued the rural way of life. She served many years as a C.W.L. Member, sang in the choir and made many items in her kitchen for church suppers and other events.
