Lee was born to Audley and Gladys Holley in Houston, Texas, on November 28, 1939. He is survived by his brother-in-law Fred Friedrich of Round Rock, TX and 4 nephews and their families. He was proceeded in death by his sister Nancy Friedrich (Oct 2022). He graduated from Reagan High School in 1957 before attending the University of Texas.
Lee married the love of his life Nona Bennett on June 12, 1965 and together they shared 57 years of marriage. In the mid 1960s Lee served as a rifleman in the US Army Reserves. In 1970, Lee and Nona welcomed their first son, Jason Lee. In 1972, their second son Jarod Wayne was born.
Lee was a great provider, throughout his career he worked in Oil and Gas related industries. In 1988 he started his own valve automation company and continued his work until he retired in 2016.
Lee's greatest joy came from spending time with his wife, sons and friends. They created many memories while enjoying trips and spending time at the family lakehouse on Lake Sam Rayburn. Lee was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed watching a good baseball or football game and was a Longhorn, Astros, and Texan fan. He loved animals, especially his beloved family dogs.
As a Christian, Lee lived out his faith through his generous and caring spirit and dedication to family and friends. He was a man of deep integrity, truth, and compassion. Lee leaves a legacy of respect, goodness, kindness, and love.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at Kingwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 1st at 2pm with reception to follow.
