Theresa Jean Cernosek

She was born on September 2, 1931, the daughter of I.E. Cernosek and Helen Cernosek in Houston, Texas.

Theresa had just moved back to Houston after spending 59 years in Denver. She was just getting settled into a new chapter in her life. By profession she was a surgical nurse, where she studied at Galveston and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston.

She is survived by her sister, Madora Zenner; brother-in-law Jim Zenner; brother, Buddy Cernosek; sister-in-law, Priscilla Cernosek; nephews, Mike Zenner and his wife Marie of Harper, Texas, A.C. and his wife Sandy Zenner of San Ramon, California, Robert Cernosek of Dickenson, Texas; nieces, Kathy Harr and her husband Steve of Clifton, Texas, Mary Krenzer and her husband Paul of Sugarland, Texas, Debbie and her husband Jody Anderson of Lufkin, Texas, Theresa and her husband Jean Vernardo of San Antonio, Texas, and Tammy Zientek of Dickenson, Texas. Preceding her in death were her parents, and her life- long friend Leah Jean Kindred.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martha’s Catholic Church, 4301 Woodridge Pkwy, Porter, Texas 77365.
