Sara Andre’ House, a vibrant and radiant soul, passed away at the tender age of 22, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and joy that touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Sara brought an undeniable brightness to the world around her, embodying the profound truth captured by St. Francis of Assisi: "Just one ray of sunshine is enough to dispel millions of shadows."
Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on July 15, 2001, to Ricky & Camille House, Sara soon moved in 2003 to Kingwood, Texas which became her hometown where she grew-up alongside her older brother Sean. Kingwood was not just a place Sara lived in; it was a community of friends she cherished and loved with her whole heart. Sara attended Shadow Forest Elementary, Riverwood Middle School and Kingwood High School, having graduated with the 2019 class. From a young age, Sara loved dancing which led her to the extraordinary Kingwood High School Fillies Dance Team where she was recognized as “Most Dedicated Freshman.” Sara went on to college and graduated in May of 2023 from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media & Communications. Sara’s passion for fashion led her to fashion giant Ralph Lauren of Dallas, Texas where her career was just taking off.
Sara’s infectious energy drew people toward her as her smile and laughter flowed through the hearts of those in her presence, creating an atmosphere of happiness and positivity. Friends fondly recall her as the one who could effortlessly turn a gloomy day into a sunlit adventure, lifting spirits with her genuine kindness and boundless optimism.
In her short 22 years, Sara lived by the philosophy that a single act of kindness, a word of encouragement, or a gesture of love was all that was needed. She embodied the St. Francis quote not only in her words but, more importantly, in her actions. Her curiosity and zest for life were contagious, inspiring those around her to embrace each day with gratitude and enthusiasm. The way she approached each day of her life created a legacy of compassion and light that will endure far beyond her time on this earth.
While Sara's death leaves a void that can never be filled, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her. As friends and family gather to mourn her untimely passing, they will also celebrate the indelible mark she left on the world—a radiant legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift.
Sara was known for her compassionate nature, and even in her passing, continued to embody the spirit of selflessness. As an organ donor, she offered the gift of life to others while reminding us of the power one individual can have in the lives of many. As friends and family mourn the loss of this incredible young woman, let’s find solace in the knowledge that a part of her lives on, bringing hope and healing to others. A special heartfelt thank you to the incredibly loving & caring nursing staff at the Dallas Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas and to the Southwest Transplant Alliance who so lovingly took care of Sara during our stay.
Sara leaves behind a heartbroken yet grateful family: her loving parents, Ricky and Camille; her protective brother and hero, Sean, and his wife Maggie; her beloved Aunt & Uncle, Denise & Rodney and a host of extended family members and friends who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of Sara’s life will be held on March 23, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 US-59, Kingwood, TX. Following the service, a reception will be held at Three B’s on the Green, 20700 Mills Branch Drive, where we will continue to share memories and honor Sara’s legacy.
Sara's life, though brief, was a beacon of love, joy, and kindness which she so effortlessly shared with the world. She will forever be remembered for her radiant spirit and the positive impact she had on everyone she met.
