Funeral services for Sally Joyce Weddle will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, Texas. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
Graveside services will be held the following day at 10:00am, Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038.
Sally Joyce Weddle, of Porter, Texas passed away in the arms of our Lord and Savior on August 20th, at the age of 93.
Sally, daughter of David and Beatrice Start, was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 18, 1929. She was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend, Lee. They were married and in love for 68 beautiful years. Sally is survived by four children, Kim, Susan, Tom, and Scott; ten grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Humble, where she taught Sunday School to the young children. The caring, loving, teaching, and nurturing of children was her greatest passion.
Sally always wanted to be a mother. She loved dogs, birds, flowers, and all forms of chocolate. She was always positive, thankful, had an infectious laugh, and gave the best hugs ever.
She began every morning with Psalm 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” And oh how she is rejoicing now!
