Michael Paul Stanley was born January 27, 1980 in Freehold, New Jersey to Paul and Eileen Stanley. He passed away August 18, 2020 following a brief battle with cancer. Michael graduated from Plano Senior High School, and went on to earn his Bachelor's of Business Administration and Finance from Texas Tech University in 2004. On May 14th, 2011, he married Meagan June Byrd, and they were blessed with one son, Mason Ford Stanley.
Growing up, Michael was a member of Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, TX where he was active in the youth group and Revelation choir. He was a member of Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, and he has passed his love of scouting onto his son. Michael was employed by Insperity in recruiting and software implementation. In 2015, he was named "World's Best Sourcer" in a global competition.
Michael was a kind, hard-working person, always willing to help anyone in need. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother, and his family meant the world to him. Michael will always be remembered for his sense of humor and big smile, and his intellectual curiosity. He was a self-taught, talented woodworker, enjoyed camping, and doing anything that interested his son, including video games and searching for ancient artifacts.
Michael is survived by his wife, son, and parents, siblings Ben Stanley and his wife, Kelley, and Amy Grider, and her husband, Craig, nephews and nieces Leo Stanley, Ellie, Aiden, Sadie, and Bonnie Grider, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
