Michael Stanley Pytel, 56, of Kingwood, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011. Mike spent his career working as a registered nurse before becoming an attorney. He was a member of the American Bar Association and the Elks Lodge in New Mexico. Mike enjoyed building models, gardening, cooking, carpentry, fishing, telling jokes and reading, especially history. Most of all, Mike was a giving person who loved spending time with his family, including shooting rockets with his grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Stanley John Pytel. He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Pytel; loving wife of 14 years, Jolene Pytel; children, Chip Berry and wife Sarah, Theo Hendrickson and husband Mike, Hali Hensley, Daniel Hensley; grandchildren, Caleb Holliday, Christen Holliday, Cameron Holliday, Courtney Holliday, Jo Hendrickson, Levi Herrin, Avery Roies, and Bryan Garcia; brothers, Tom Pytel and wife Judy, John Pytel and wife Laura, Steve Pytel and wife Misty; numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Kingwood Funeral Home.
