Mary Beth Grantham

Beth moved to Amarillo with her family in 1955 where she graduated from Tascosa High School and went on to receive a Bachelor's degree from North Texas State University. For many years, Beth was an English teacher at Elgin High School. After teaching, she went on to a career with the Texas Department of Insurance in Austin climbing the ranks in the Policy Approval Division until she retired from her position of Insurance Director.

In her late twenties, Beth married Wayne Dawson Hill who passed away in 1987. After retirement form the State, Beth moved to Houston to be by her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren where she was blessed to meet and marry Ronald Grantham on November 6, 2004. Beth enjoyed many activities over the years including golf, tennis, snow skiing, running, water sports, and sail-boating on Lake Travis in Austin. She was a member of Fellowship of the Woodlands Church.

Beth leaves behind her beloved husband of 9 years, Ronald Grantham; her daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Danny Russell of Humble; her son Jason Wayne Hill of Kyle; two brothers: James B. Love of Montgomery, Bill Love and his wife Diane of Austin; and two grandchildren, Dillon and Alyssa Russell. We will never forget the love she shared, the warmth of her smile, and the grace that she bestowed. To a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, we love you and will miss you until we see you again in heaven. Your pain is gone, your burdens are lifted, but your loving and joyful spirit will never leave us and will never be forgotten.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, Texas 77339. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. also at Kingwood Funeral Home.

We come together in this ole world

And though we would like to stay- we don't
