Linda was born to parents Antonio and Hortencia Escobar on 9th October 1960 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Her father was in the military and his family traveled a great deal. She loved sharing the amazing adventures that she experienced in Germany and the United States. She graduated in California from Seaside High in 1979. She loved volleyball and played varsity all four years of high school. She was encouraged by one of her senior teachers to consider a career in insurance and she found success in the industry as an account manager for 30 years. She absolutely loved helping people. She was a bubbly and outgoing young woman; she was always the life of the party. She could spark up a conversation with complete strangers in line at the grocery store as if she knew them her entire life. Everyone naturally gravitated to her and she was everyone's sunshine. Her smile and positive energy would light up any room.
On one sunny day in San Antonio Texas a customer came into her office and asked for her by name. Naturally Linda stood up and shook his hand and had him sit at her desk. Once she completed all his insurance needs the customer thanked her and left the building. Later, he proposed to her once, twice, three times before she said yes and they enjoyed over 24 years of a loving marriage together.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Leroy Machado. She is also survived by her son Victor Lujan and his spouse Rebecca Taylor-Lujan, her daughter Teressa Lujan-Carrada and her spouse Miguel Carrada. Her step-children include the Machado children Yvonne, Michele, and Michael with his spouse Erin. She has three grandchildren, Liliana, Anthony, and Emily Lujan which were her pride and joy. Additionally, two of her siblings, Richard Escobar and Diane Escobar-Mendez, three nephews, two nieces, one great niece and two great nephews, many Tios and Tias ( Uncles/Aunts) and so many cousins she loved so very much.
Linda was preceded in death by her father Antonio Escobar and mother Hortencia Lopez-Escobar as well as her younger brother Roger Escobar.
