Gabriel Rodriguez

Gabe Rodriguez, 83, died January 22, 2014 after a short illness while in the company of his cherished wife Gladys and other family members. He was born in Brooklyn and raised in Alhama de Almeria, Spain. After a decades-long career with General Electric in New York City as well as Puerto Rico, Silver Spring, Maryland and Houston, Rodriguez retired to Texas. He enjoyed golf, his grandchildren and super great-grandchild Tanner. Whether with friends and or family, Gabe Rodriguez’ generosity of spirit and love for life inspired those around him. He was a great story teller that always captured the attention of his audience.

Gabriel is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Gladys Rodriguez; children, America Rodriguez and Gabriel Rodriguez (Janetta); grandchildren, Janell Rodriguez, Jilla Rodriguez, Gabriel Rodriguez, Jr., Rodrigo Stinchcombe; great-grandson, Tanner Rodriguez; sister, Rose Sanchez (Jose); numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Americo Rodriguez.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339.
