Cory was born on December 2, 1975 in Columbus, Ohio to parents, William Barthlow Tremaine and Linda Jane Gore, and passed away on September 4, 2022 in Houston, Texas.
Cory grew up in Upper Arlington, Ohio where she enjoyed a childhood full of family and friendships. She was the star of her high school basketball team and went on to play in college at Dennison University. A lifelong Buckeye, she continued her education back home in Columbus, Ohio where she met her future husband, Erik. They married on October 12th, 2002 in a small ceremony on Hilton Head Island. Several years later she and Erik started growing their family, eventually having three beautiful daughters who were her whole world. She and her family moved to Houston in 2008 for a business opportunity which ultimately led to her becoming the Chief Financial Officer, where she excelled in her role. Cory enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching football, traveling and watching her daughters grow in all aspects of their lives.
Cory’s infectious laugh and smile will be eternally missed, but never be forgotten. She was an absolute gift from God, and now returns to him while watching over all of us.
Cory is survived by her husband of 20 years, Erik Casperson of Kingwood; daughters, Ava Grace, Anna Paige, and Cara Elizabeth of Kingwood; father, William (Melanie) Tremaine of Gulf Shores, AL; mother, Linda Gore of Kingwood; brother, Dan (Erin) Tremaine of Columbus, Oh; sister, Brittainy Lauback of Athens, Ga; aunt, Melissa Gore of Kingwood; aunt, Janet Tremaine of Columbus, Oh; two nieces, one nephew and her dog Teddy.
