Charles Clinton Brown (Charlie) of Kingwood, Texas, passed away on October 7, 2017, while working in his yard, a pastime he enjoyed. Charlie was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Charles and Rosetta Brown on November 3, 1952. He went to High School in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, attended the Detroit Society of Arts & Crafts and graduated from Wayne State University. Charlie was a long- time resident of the Houston area and worked in the Architectural and Design field traveling extensively nationally and internationally for projects with various Oil Companies. He loved music and had a diverse set of musical talents. He was a past member of the Houston Gay Men’s Choir and he also performed for a short time as a bass player in a local Country & Western Band. Additional interests and talents included oil painting, woodworking, swimming, biking and gardening. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rosetta. He is survived by his sisters Kathy (Dennis) Mohnach of Sterling Heights, MI and Laura Brown of Chicago; nephew James (Lauren) Mohnach and niece Susan (Kris) Hubley; two great nephews and two great nieces.
