She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Burd; brother, Kenneth (Cork) Burd. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, James P. Mitchell; children, James P. Mitchell, Jr., Adam P. Mitchell and wife Amy, Sarah Shivers and husband James; grandson, Nolan Shivers; mother, Lillian Burd; siblings, Joanne Armstrong and husband George, Ernest Burd and wife Colleen, LeeAnn Weaver and husband Gus, Thomas Burd and wife Liz, Laura Gares and husband Edward; sister-in-law, Cheryl Burd; numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 4301 Woodridge Pkwy, Porter, TX 77365.
