Sarah Ann Ludlam, age 72, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in Kingsville. She was born January 31, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Hugo Edwin Reichardt and Idona Lehman Reichardt. In her early years, Mrs. Ludlam was a licensed vocational nurse. She was a faithful member of First Christian Church and past elder and chairman of the church general board. She was also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star #325.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Alton C. Ludlam of Kingsville; two daughters, Paula Brown (John) of Washington and Johanna Ludlam of Houston, Texas; three sons, Michael Edwin Ludlam (Karen) of Pleasanton, Texas, Charles David Ludlam (Leanne) of Kingsville and Shawn Thomas Ludlam (Susan) of Jacksonville, Florida; brother, James Reichardt of Houston; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at First Christian Church, 1900 S. Brahma Blvd., Kingsville, with Rev. John Seekamp officiating. Eastern Star services will follow immediately after the church service. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Road, Corpus Christi, Texas.
