Philip Dale Reich

Philip Dale Reich, age 47, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away on January 4, 2011 at his residence in Bishop surrounded by his family. Philip was the son of Reverend Raymond Dale Reich and Norma Alene Ryser Reich. He was born on May 2, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated in October 1998 from Weatherford College Law Enforcement Academy, Weatherford, Texas. He was a former deputy at the Hood County Sheriff’s Department and served as a deputy with the Nueces County Sheriff’s Department from 2005 until his death. Philip was preceded in death by his mother, Alene Reich; and two infant sisters. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lisa Reich of Bishop; four children, Rebecca (Rob) Walker of Portland, Texas, Andrew Reich of Granbury, Texas, Brandee Reich and Raymond Reich, both of Bishop; father, Raymond Reich of Bishop; two sisters, Janet (Merle) Moerbe of LaPryor, Texas and Nancy (Curtis) Muecke of Fredericksburg, Texas; one brother, Jonathan Reich of Bishop; two nieces, Monica (Jeremy) Atkinson of Castroville, Texas and Katie Muecke of Fredericksburg; two nephews, Justin Moerbe of Castroville and Matthew Muecke of Fredericksburg; and mother-in-law, Theresa Martineau of Knoxville, Tennessee. Visitation will take place at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary on Friday, January 7, 2011 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 6:00PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 801 East Main Street, Bishop, with Rev. Matthew Ulmer officiating. Burial will follow in Bishop at the Concordia Cemetery.
